حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ؓ قَالَ:
مَاتَ رَجُلٌ وَرَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ فَآذَنُوا بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَتَغَيَّرَ لِذَلِكَ لَوْنُهُ فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَهُ فَإِذَا فِيهِ خَرَزٌ مِنْ خَرَزِ الْيَهُودِ لَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ

✧ A man died and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Khaybar, so they informed the Prophet ﷺ about him. He said: Pray over your companion, for he has stolen from the spoils in the cause of Allah, and his color changed because of that. They searched his belongings and found in them beads from the beads of the Jews worth less than two dirhams.
