✧ On the day of Badr, people gathered around Umayyah b. Khalaf. I approached him and noticed a piece of his armor that had broken off from under his armpit, so I thrust my sword at him. I was struck by an arrow on the day of Badr and my eye was put out. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spat and supplicated for me regarding it, and it never hurt me after that.
