حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: نَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ - ؓ

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ بِقَافْ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ فَقَالَ: " بُسُوقُهَا: طُولُهَا

Translation

✧ I prayed behind the Messenger of God ﷺ and heard him reciting Qaf, and I heard him reciting: 'And the tall palm trees with clustered fruit.' He said: 'Their tallness is their height.'
