✧ A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw as if a scale was lowered from the sky, and I was weighed against Abū Bakr; then Abū Bakr was weighed against ʿUmar, and Abū Bakr outweighed ʿUmar; then ʿUmar was weighed against ʿUthmān, and ʿUmar outweighed ʿUthmān; then the scale was raised." The Messenger of Allah became delighted at that, saying: "Succession of prophethood, then Allah gives kingship to whom He wills."
