حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا: نَا عَفَّانُ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَا: نَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ - ؓ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ ابْنَ ابْنِي مَاتَ فَمَا لِي مِنْ مِيرَاثِهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَكَ السُّدُسُ فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ: " لَكَ السُّدُسُ "، فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ السُّدُسَ الْآخَرَ طُعْمَةٌ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'The son of my son has died, so what do I inherit from him?' He said: 'You have one-sixth.' When he turned away, he called him and said: 'You have one-sixth.' When he turned away again, he called him and said: 'The other sixth is a gift.'
