حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: نَا رَاشِدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" سَتَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي أَئِمَّةٌ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِهَا، فَصَلُّوا الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، وَاجْعَلُوا صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْحَجَّاجُ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِهَا، فَكُنْتُ أُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا وَأَجْعَلُ صَلَاتِيَ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً

✧ There will be rulers after me who kill the prayer by delaying it from its proper times. So pray the prayer at its proper time, and make your prayer with them a supererogatory prayer. When al-Hajjaj delayed the prayer from its times, I used to pray the prayer at its proper time and make my prayer with them a supererogatory prayer.
