حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ: نَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ:

أَنَّ أَخَوَيْنِ اخْتَصَمَا فَحَلَفَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا أَنْ لَا يُكَلِّمَ أَخَاهُ، فَأَتَيَا عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمَا: كَفِّرْ يَمِينَكَ، وَكَلِّمْ أَخَاكَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ وَلَا فِي قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ

Translation

✧ Two brothers had a dispute, and each of them swore not to speak to his brother. They came to 'Umar, and he said to one of them: "Expiate your oath and speak to your brother." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "There is no vow in disobedience (to God), nor in severing ties of kinship."
