✧ The first hadith of Abu Musa

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ؓ قَالَ:

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَأَخَوَيَّ مَعِي أَبُو عَامِرِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ وَأَبُو بُرْدَةَ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، وَخَمْسَةٌ مِنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ، حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لِلنَّاسِ هِجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ وَلَكُمْ هِجْرَتَانِ.

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in Makkah, and my two brothers were with me: Abū ʿĀmir b. Qays and Abū Burdah b. Qays, along with five men from the Ashʿarīs, until we reached Madinah. The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say: "For the people there is one migration, but for you there are two."
