✧ "The people will be gathered—meaning on the Day of Resurrection—and they will come to Adam and say: 'O our father, intercede for us to open the gate of Paradise.' He will say: 'Was it not for the sin of your father Adam that you were expelled from Paradise? I am not the one for that. Go to Ibrahim, the close friend of his Lord.' Ibrahim will say: 'I am not the one for that; I was only a close friend from behind a veil beyond a veil. Go to the one to whom Allah spoke directly.' They will come to Musa, and he will say: 'I am not the one for that. Go to 'Isa, the Word of Allah and His spirit.' He will say: 'I am not the one for that. Go to Muhammad ﷺ.' They will come to Muhammad ﷺ, and he will intercede. Then the sirat will be laid across, and the first of you will pass like lightning. I said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom.' Then like the wind, and birds, and the running of men. Your Prophet ﷺ will be on the sirat saying: 'O Allah, grant safety, grant safety,' until the people cross, until a man comes who can only crawl. On the sides of the sirat are hanging hooks that seize whom they are commanded to seize. Some will be scratched but saved, and some will be piled into the Fire." Then he said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurayrah, the depth of Jahannam is seventy years' fall."
