حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" إِذَا صَلَّى الرَّجُلُ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ، وَأَتَمَّ الرُّكُوعَ، وَالسُّجُودَ " وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: وَالْقِرَاءَةَ فِيهَا، قَالَتْ: " حَفِظَكَ اللهُ كَمَا حَفِظْتَنِي، وَإِذَا أَسَاءَ رُكُوعَهَا أَوْ وَلَمْ يُتِمَّ رُكُوعَهَا، وَلَا سُجُودَهَا " أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: وَالْقِرَاءَةَ فِيهَا، قَالَتْ: " ضَيَّعَكَ اللهُ كَمَا ضَيَّعْتَنِي

✧ “When a man prays and perfects his ablution, and completes the bowing and the prostration” – and I think he said: “and the recitation in it – she (the prayer) says: ‘May Allah preserve you as you have preserved me.’ But if he does badly in its bowing or does not complete its bowing or its prostration” – I think he said: “and the recitation in it – she says: ‘May Allah waste you as you have wasted me.’”
