حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" يَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ أَقْوَامٌ إِخْوَانُ الْعَلَانِيَةِ أَعْدَاءُ السَّرِيرَةِ فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: " بِرَغْبَةِ بَعْضِهِمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ، وَبِرَهْبَةِ بَعْضِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ

Translation

✧ In the end of time there will be people who are brothers in public but enemies in private. It was said: O Messenger of God, how can that be? He said: Because of the desiring of some of them toward others, and the fearing of some of them of others.
