حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْصِنِي، قَالَ: احْفَظْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: " ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ يَا مُعَاذُ، هَلْ يَكُبُّ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَاخِرِهِمْ فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا حَصَائِدُ أَلْسِنَتِهِمْ
Translation

✧ O Messenger of God, advise me. He said: Guard your tongue. He repeated it to him, so he said: May your mother be bereaved of you, O Mu'adh! Do people get thrown on their faces into the Fire except by the harvests of their tongues?
