✧ Salman besieged a fortress among the fortresses of Qudayd. He said to his companions: "Let me do what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do." He praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "I am a man from among you, and Allah has granted me Islam. You have seen the Arabs' obedience to me. If you believe and emigrate, you will have the same status as us. If you accept Islam but remain in your lands, you will be like the Bedouins: you will receive what they receive and bear what they bear. If you refuse and agree to pay the jizyah, you will have what the people of the jizyah have." He presented that to them for three days, then said to his companions: "Advance against them," and they conquered it.
