حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ:

قَالَ اللهُ: إِذَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَإِذَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا، وَإِذَا أَتَانِي يَمْشِي أَتَيْتُهُ أُهَرْوِلُ

Translation

✧ Allah said: "When My servant draws near to Me a handspan, I draw near to him an arm's length; and when he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom; and when he comes to Me walking, I come to him at a run."
