Chain of narrators

✧ I came to Abdullah b. Amr in his house while two rows of people sat around him, and no one was on his bed, so I sat on his bed at the side of his feet. A red-faced, big-bellied man came and sat down. He said: 'Who is the man?' I said: 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakra.' He said: 'Who is Abu Bakra?' I said: 'Do you not remember the man who leaped to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the wall of al-Ta'if?' He said: 'Yes,' and welcomed me. Then he began to narrate to us, saying: 'Soon will emerge the son of the lamb's carrier'—three times. I said: 'What is the lamb's carrier?' A man said: 'One of his parents is a devil who rules the Byzantines. He will come with a million people, five hundred thousand on land and five hundred thousand at sea. They will land at a place called al-Amiq. He will say to his companions: "I still have some of your ship left," so he will stay behind with it and burn it with fire. Then he will say: "No Byzantium and no Constantinople; they are yours. Whoever wishes to flee, let him flee." The Muslims will reinforce one another until the people of Aden Abyan reinforce them. The Muslims will say to them: "Join them and be a single group." They will fight for a month until the horses wade in blood up to their hooves. On that day, the believer will have a double reward compared to what came before him, except for the companions of Muhammad ﷺ. On the last day of the month, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say: "Today I will draw My sword, support My religion, and take vengeance on My enemy." Allah will turn the tide against them and defeat them, until Constantinople is conquered. Their commander will say: "No embezzlement today." While they are thus dividing gold and silver with their shields, a call will come to them: "Indeed, the Dajjal has succeeded you in your homes." So they will leave what is in their hands and head toward the Dajjal.'
