حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَوْدِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، وَسُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو - رَفَعَهُ سُفْيَانُ، إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَأَوْقَفَهُ مِسْعَرٌ - قَالَ:

" إِنَّ مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ أَنْ يَشْتُمَ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ، قَالُوا: وَكَيْفَ يَشْتُمُ وَالِدَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ: " يَسُبُّ الرَّجُلُ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ، وَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ

✧ 'Among the major sins is that a man reviles his parents.' They said: 'How does he revile his parents?' He said: 'A man reviles another man's father, so he reviles his father, and he reviles his mother, so he reviles his mother.'
