حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرٌ، قَالَ: نَا إِدْرِيسُ الْأَوْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ:

إِنَّ أَحْسَنَ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ، وَأَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ كِتَابُ اللهِ، وَشَرَّ الْأُمُورِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا، وَكُلَّ مُحْدَثَةٍ بِدْعَةٌ، وَسِبَابَ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ، وَقِتَالَهُ كُفْرٌ

Translation

✧ The best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ, the best narrative is the Book of God, the worst of matters are their newly invented ones, and every newly invented matter is an innovation. Reviling a Muslim is wickedness, and fighting him is disbelief.
