حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، قَالَ: نَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: نَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ يَعْنِي عَلَى رَأْسِ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ، وَإِنْ يَبْقُوا يَبْقَى لَهُمْ أَمْرُهُمْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً

Translation

✧ The mill of Islam will turn — meaning at the end of thirty-five years. If they perish, then it is the way of those who perish; and if they remain, their affair will remain for seventy years.
