حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ، قَالَا: نَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَبَّانَ الْعَنَزِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
لَمَّا جِيءَ بِأَبِي جَهْلٍ يُجَرُّ إِلَى الْقَلِيبِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَوْ كَانَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ حَيًّا لَعَرَفَ أَوْ لَعَلِمَ أَنَّ أَسْيَافَنَا قَدِ أُلْبِسَتْ بِالْأَمَاثِلِ

✧ When Abu Jahl was brought, being dragged to the well, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If Abu Talib were alive, he would know, or he would learn, that our swords have been put to work on the nobles."
