حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ: نَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ:
أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَظْهَرَ إِسْلَامَهُ سَبْعَةٌ: النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَبِلَالٌ، وَذَكَرَ جَمَاعَةً، فَأَمَّا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَمَنَعَهُ اللهُ بِعَمِّهِ، وَأَمَّا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَمَنَعَهُ اللهُ بِقَوْمِهِ، وَأَمَّا سَائِرُهُمْ فَكَانُوا يُعَذَّبُونَ وَيُصْهَرُونَ فِي الشَّمْسِ
Translation

✧ The first to proclaim their Islam were seven: the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Bilal, and he mentioned a group. As for the Prophet ﷺ, Allah protected him through his uncle; as for Abu Bakr, Allah protected him through his people; as for the rest of them, they were tortured and exposed to the scorching sun.
