✧ The remainder of the hadith of Zirr

وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

كَانَ الْحَسَنُ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ يَأْتِيَانِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَيَثِبَانِ عَلَيْهِ وَيَرْكَبَانِهِ، فَإِذَا نُهِيَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ أَنْ دَعُوهُمَا، فَإِذَا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ ضَمَّهُمَا إِلَيْهِ وَقَالَ: مَنْ أَحَبَّنِي فَلْيُحِبَّ هَذَيْنِ

Translation

✧ Al-Ḥasan and al-Ḥusayn used to come to the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying, and they would climb on him and ride him. When they were told to stop, he gestured with his hand: “Leave them.” When he finished the prayer, he embraced them and said: “Whoever loves me should love these two.”
