حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَحَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ صَنَمٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَضْرِبُهُنَّ، وَيُشِيرُ إِلَيْهِنَّ بِقَضِيبٍ مَعَهُ أَوْ بِعُودٍ، وَيَقُولُ: جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah and around the House there were such and such idols. He began striking them, pointing at them with a stick that he had or with a piece of wood, and saying: 'The truth has come and falsehood has vanished.'
