Musnad al-Bazzar 1647

✧ The first hadith of Alqamah, from Abdullah b. Mas'ud, from the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَامِرُ بْنُ مُدْرِكٍ، قَالَ: نَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ يَقْظَانَ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَخْوَالِهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

جَاءَتِ الْيَهُودُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، إِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا كَمَا تَذْكُرُ فَأَخْبِرْنَا مِنْ أَيْنَ الشَّبَهُ يُشْبِهُ الرَّجُلُ مَرَّةً أَعْمَامَهُ وَمَرَّةً أَخْوَالَهُ ؟

✧ The Jews came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: O Muhammad, if you are a prophet as you claim, then tell us from where resemblance comes, that a man sometimes resembles his paternal uncles and sometimes his maternal uncles?
