✧ The Prophet ﷺ asked 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud to recite Surah al-Nisa' to him, so he recited. Al-Mas'udi said: Ja'far b. 'Amr b. Hurayth narrated to me from his father, from 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud, who said: When I reached 'So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these?' the one next to me nudged me, and I saw that the eyes of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had filled with tears, so I stopped reciting.
