127 67 (م) - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ:
نَا رَوْحٌ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ وَأَوْقَفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ، وَالْحَدِيثُ لِمَنْ زَادَ فِيهِ إِذَا كَانَ ثِقَةً، وَشُعْبَةُ وَزَائِدَةُ وَالْمُعْتَمِرُ وَغَيْرُهُمْ فَأَسْنَدُوهُ فَاقْتَصَرْنَا عَلَى حَدِيثِ مَنْ ذَكَرْنَا دُونَ غَيْرِهِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná
✧ Rawh narrated to us, from Za'idah, from Isma'il, from Qays, from Abu Bakr, from the Prophet ﷺ. A group stopped it [as a Companion statement], and the hadith belongs to the one who added [the chain] if he is trustworthy. Shu'bah, Za'idah, al-Mu'tamir, and others traced it back, so we restricted ourselves to the hadith of those we mentioned rather than others.
