✧ What Muhammad b. Abi Bakr narrated from his father Abu Bakr

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ: نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ قُلْتُ: أَلَا أَضْرِبُ عُنُقَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ: مَهْ، إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ

وهذا الحديث لا نعلمه يروى إلا عن أبي برزة عن أبي بكر وله عن أبي برزة طرق كثيرة وهذا الطريق من أحسن طريق يروى عن أبي برزة وقد أدخله أهل العلم في مسند أبي بكر وإن لم يكن حكي عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فيه شيء ولكن لما قال أبو بكر ليست لأحد بعد رسول الله دل على أن هذا الفعل كان لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دون غيره وكأنها حكاية عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
machine translationWe do not know this hadith to be narrated except from Abū Barzah, from Abū Bakr. It has many chains from Abū Barzah, and this chain is one of the best chains narrated from Abū Barzah. The people of knowledge have included it in the Musnad of Abū Bakr, even though nothing is related in it from the Prophet ﷺ. But since Abū Bakr said, "This is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah," it indicates that this act was for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and not for others, and it is as though it were a report about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
