حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ: نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ " نَظَرَ إِلَى عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فَاسْتَصْغَرَهُ حِينَ خَرَجَ إِلَى بَدْرٍ ثُمَّ أَجَازَهُ قَالَ سَعْدٌ: فَيُقَالُ إِنَّهُ خَانَهُ سَيْفُهُ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: قُتِلَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ looked at Umayr b. Abi Waqqas and considered him too young when he went out to Badr, then he let him go. Sa'd said: It is said that his sword failed him. Abd Allah said: He was killed on the day of Badr.
