  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThis is a hadith narrated by al-Zuhrī, and there is disagreement concerning it from him. Maʿmar, Yūnus, Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd, al-Nuʿmān b. Rāshid and ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar b. Mūsā narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from Saʿd. ʿAqīl opposed them, in the narration of Rishdīn b. Saʿd, saying: from al-Zuhrī, from ʿĀmir b. Saʿd, from his father. Likewise it was said from Ibrāhīm b. Ismāʿīl b. Mujammiʿ, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿĀmir b. Saʿd, and that is an error (wahm). ʿAqīl, in the narration of Layth b. Saʿd from him, said the same as Maʿmar and those who followed him, and that is the correct view.
