✧ 'Umrah from Aishah

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: نَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:

لَوْ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَا نَرَى لَمَنَعَهُنَّ كَمَا مُنِعَتْ نِسَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ فِي مُرُوطِنَا وَمَا يَعْرِفُ بَعْضُنَا وُجُوهَ بَعْضٍ

✧ If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw from the women what we see, he would have forbidden them as the women of the Children of Israel were forbidden. I have seen us praying the dawn prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in our cloaks, and none of us recognized the faces of the others.
