حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ صَاحِبُ الْقُوهِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يُحَدِّثُ
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَرَأَى عَلَيَّ بَشَاشَةَ الْعُرْسِ، قُلْتُ: إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ

✧ From 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf that he married a woman for a gold weight of a date pit. I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he saw upon me the cheerfulness of a wedding. I said: 'I have married a woman from the Ansar for a gold weight of a date pit.'
