حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ قَالَ: نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ:

فِينَا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَى بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ، وَآخَيْنَا الْأَنْصَارَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَدْ آخَى خَارِجَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، وَكَانَ عُمَرُ قَدْ آخَى عِتْبَانَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ

✧ Concerning us this verse was revealed: 'And those of kin are nearer to one another in the Book of Allah' [8:75]. That is because we came to Madinah, and we established brotherhood with the Ansar. Abu Bakr had made brotherhood with Kharija b. Zayd, and Umar had made brotherhood with Itban b. Malik.
