( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، ثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أَنْبَأَ يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، قَالَ:

أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ طَوِيلٌ أَسْوَدُ. فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: أَبُو ذَرٍّ، فَقُلْتُ: لَأَنْظُرَنَّ عَلَى أَيِّ حَالٍ هُوَ الْيَوْمَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَصَائِمٌ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَ الْإِذْنَ عَلَى عُمَرَ ؓ فَدَخَلُوا، فَأُتِينَا بِقِصَاعٍ، فَأَكَلَ، فَحَرَّكْتُهُ أُذَكِّرُهُ بِيَدِي، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لَمْ أَنْسَ مَا قُلْتُ لَكَ؛ أَخْبَرْتُكَ أَنِّي صَائِمٌ، إِنِّي أَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ؛ فَأَنَا أَبَدًا صَائِمٌ
