I came to Abū Ayyūb al-Azdī and shook his hand, and he saw that my nails were long. He said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ to ask him a question, and he said: "One of you asks me about news of the heavens, while he leaves his nails like the claws of birds, in which impurity and grime collect."
