أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ التُّنُوخِيُّ، ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ:
وَاللهِ، لَقَدْ فَتَحَ الْفُتُوحَ قَوْمٌ مَا كَانَ حِلْيَةُ سُيُوفِهِمُ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ حِلْيَةُ سُيُوفِهِمُ الْعَلَابِيَّ وَالْآنُكَ وَالْحَدِيدَ
