وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنْبَأَ أَيُّوبُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ:

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ قَتْلِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: وَجَاءَ كِتَابُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ: أَنْ يُدْفَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَأُتِيَتْ بِهِ أَسْمَاءُ فَغَسَّلَتْهُ وَكَفَّنَتْهُ وَحَنَّطَتْهُ ثُمَّ دَفَنَتْهُ، قَالَ أَيُّوبُ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: فَمَا عَاشَتْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ مَاتَتْ
