( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، ثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ:
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ جَدَّ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ تُوُفِّيَ بِالسُّقْيَا زَمَنَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يُخَمِّرْ رَأْسَهُ
