حَدَّثَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ إِمْلَاءً، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ يَقُولُ:

اسْتَأْذَنَ سَعْدٌ عَلَى ابْنِ عَامِرٍ وَتَحْتَهُ مَرَافِقُ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَرُفِعَتْ، فَدَخَلَ وَعَلَيْهِ مِطْرَفٌ مِنْ خَزٍّ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: اسْتَأْذَنْتَ عَلَيَّ وَتَحْتِي مَرَافِقُ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَأَمَرْتُ بِهَا فَرُفِعَتْ فَقَالَ لَهُ: نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْتَ يَا ابْنَ عَامِرٍ إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِمَّنْ قَالَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: أَذْهَبْتُمْ طَيِّبَاتِكُمْ فِي حَيَاتِكُمُ الدُّنْيَا وَاللهِ لَأَنْ أَضْطَجِعَ عَلَى جَمْرِ الْغَضَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَضْطَجِعَ عَلَيْهَا
