أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مَحْمَوَيْهِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْبَهْرَانِيُّ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ، نَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
الْعَيْنُ وِكَاءُ السَّهِ، فَإِذَا نَامَتِ الْعَيْنُ اسْتَطْلَقَ الْوِكَاءُ

وأعل أيضا بوجهين أحدهما الكلام في أبي بكر بن أبي مريم قال أبو حاتم وأبو زرعة ليس بالقوي والثاني أن مروان بن جناح رواه عن عطية بن قيس عن معاوية موقوفا هكذا رواه ابن عدي وقال مروان أثبت من أبي بكر بن أبي مريم

Ibn ʿAdī narrated it in this way and said: Marwān is more reliable than Abū Bakr b. Abī Maryam.
