أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ

أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ اسْتَخْلَفَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ: إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ، قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَشَيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: لَقَدْ قَرَأْتَ بِسُورَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمَا

    يرويه جعفر بن محمد واختلف عنه فرواه أبو أويس عن جعفر عن أبيه عن جابر وغيره يرويه عن جعفر عن أبيه عن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو الصواب واختلف عن الثوري وعن شعبة في ذلك فقيل عن الثوري عن جعفر عن أبيه عن أبي نافع عن علي والمحفوظ عن أبي رافع وقيل عن شعبة عن جعفر عن أبيه عن أبي رافع عن علي وعن شعبة عن الحكم عن أبي جعفر أن عليا قاله عبد الرحيم المعولي عن عبد القاهر بن شعيب عن شعبة

This was narrated by ʿAbd al-Raḥīm al-Maʿwalī, from ʿAbd al-Qāhir b. Shuʿayb, from Shuʿbah.
