أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ مُوسَى بْنُ عَامِرٍ، ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ اللَّيْثَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ فَقَالَ:
كُلُّ مَدِينَةٍ أَوْ قَرْيَةٍ فِيهَا جَمَاعَةٌ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَمِيرٌ أُمِرُوا بِالْجُمُعَةِ؛ فَلْيُجَمِّعْ بِهِمْ فَإِنَّ أَهْلَ الْإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ وَمَدَائِنَ مِصْرَ وَمَدَائِنَ سَوَاحِلِهَا كَانُوا يُجَمِّعُونَ الْجُمُعَةَ عَلَى عَهْدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ بِأَمْرِهِمَا وَفِيهَا رِجَالٌ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ
