- Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī
machine translationI do not consider it preserved (maḥfūẓ).
in سنن البيهقي الكبرى, p. 5552 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationAl-Nawawī declared it weak (ḍaʿīf) in al-Khulāṣah, but that is not sound, because its narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt) and Ibn Isḥāq was not alone in transmitting it. Al-Nasāʾī reported it through the narration of ʿIrāk b. Mālik from ʿUbaydullāh in the same way, so it is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).
