أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التَّرْقُفِيُّ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى، نَا أَبِي، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ يَسَارِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ عُمَرُ ؓ إِذَا بَالَ، قَالَ: نَاوِلْنِي شَيْئًا أَسْتَنْجِي بِهِ قَالَ: فَأُنَاوِلُهُ الْعُودَ وَالْحَجَرَ، أَوْ يَأْتِي حَائِطًا يَتَمَسَّحُ بِهِ أَوْ يَمَسُّ الْأَرْضَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَغْسِلُهُ
