أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ:
قُمْتُ خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ لَا يَغْلِبَنِي عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ يَغْمِزُنِي، فَلَمْ أَلْتَفِتْ ثُمَّ غَمَزَنِي فَالْتَفَتُّ، فَإِذَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فَتَقَدَّمَ فَقَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ
