( أَنْبَأَ ) أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْمَعْدَانِيُّ بِمَرْوَ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبُزْنَانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ الرَّوَّادِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ:
لَمَّا كَثُرَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ دَارٌ وَلَا مَأْوَى أَنْزَلَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَسَمَّاهُمْ أَصْحَابَ الصُّفَّةِ، فَكَانَ يُجَالِسُهُمْ وَيَأْنَسُ بِهِمْ
