Ḥunayn, from his father, from ʿAlī, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The likeness of the one who prays is like that of a merchant: his profit is not secured for him until he takes back his capital. Likewise, the one who prays: no voluntary prayer is accepted from him until he performs the obligatory prayer." Al-Bazzār and al-Haytham b. Kulayb recorded it in their Musnads, as did al-Ismāʿīlī. Mūsā b. ʿUbaydah is very weak (ḍaʿīf jiddan) on account of his memory, and he was alone in narrating this. Report a problem
