( مَا أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ: أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ: إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ( ح ) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، قَالَا: ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ بِمَكَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ

machine translationMy father used to reject the hadith of al-Ḥakam and ʿĪsā, and he would say: it is only the hadith of Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād. Ibn Abī Laylā is poor in memory (sayyiʾ al-ḥifẓ), and Ibn Abī Ziyād is not a retainer (ḥāfiẓ).
