( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْمُزَكِّي، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلَاةِ، فَكَانَ يَمُدُّ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ إِبْطَهُ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، مَا هَذَا الْوُضُوءُ ؟ فَقَالَ لِي: يَا بَنِي الْفَرُّوخِ أَنْتُمْ هَاهُنَا، لَوْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّكُمْ هَاهُنَا مَا تَوَضَّأْتُ هَذَا الْوُضُوءَ
