أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا: أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ( حَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنْبَأَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:
" كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ، ثُمَّ هِيَ خِدَاجٌ، ثُمَّ هِيَ خِدَاجٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَإِنِّي أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ، قَالَ: يَا فَارِسِيُّ، اقْرَأْ بِهَا فِي نَفْسِكَ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: " قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ، فَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ اللهُ: حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي. وَإِذَا قَالَ: الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ قَالَ: أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي. وَإِذَا قَالَ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ قَالَ: مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي، أَوْ قَالَ فَوَّضَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي. وَإِذَا قَالَ: إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ قَالَ: هَذَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ، فَإِذَا قَالَ: اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ فَهَذَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ

ابن سمعان هو عبد الله بن زياد بن سمعان وهو متروك الحديث وروى هذا الحديث جماعة من الثقات عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن منهم مالك بن أنس وابن جريج وروح بن القاسم وابن عيينة وابن عجلان والحسن بن الحر وأبو أويس وغيرهم على اختلاف منهم في الإسناد واتفاق منهم على المتن فلم يذكر لأحد منهم في حديثه بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم واتفاقهم على خلاف ما رواه ابن سمعان أولى بالصواب

None of them mentioned "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" in his ḥadīth. Their agreement against what Ibn Samʿān narrated is more likely to be correct.
