وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ:

اخْتَصَمَ رَجُلَانِ إِلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فِي فَرَسٍ فَأَقَامَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا الْبَيِّنَةَ أَنَّهُ أُنْتِجَ عِنْدَهُ لَمْ يَبِعْهُ وَلَمْ يَهَبْهُ وَجَاءَ الْآخَرُ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ: إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمَا كَاذِبٌ فَقَسَمَهُ بَيْنَهُمَا نِصْفَيْنِ
