( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ:
أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حِينَ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ فِي الشِّعْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ فِي الشِّعْرِ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ فَكَيْفَ تَرَى فِيهِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يُجَاهِدُ بِسَيْفِهِ، وَلِسَانِهِ
